          Exercise Tips
Family and work responsibilities may leave you feeling like you have no time to exercise. But with a little creativity, you can exercise almost anywhere! Here are some exercises to help you fit a little more fitness into your day, every day.
 
Door Stretch

Hold onto the doorknob and slowly bend your knees. Be sure to keep your back straight. Return to start position. Repeat 5-15 times.

 

 

Desk Stretch Shoulders and Back
  1. Sit upright with a tall back and clasp your hands behind your head.
  2. In one smooth motion, pull your elbows back as far as you can while holding them in position.


   
   
   
   
 
Desk Pushup
 
 

Position yourself at an angle with your hands together at the edge of a countertop or desk. Repeat pushup 5-10 times.

 

 

 
   
 
Arm Stretching
 
 
Exercise A
  1. Standing straight, clasp your hands behind your back.
  2. Raise your arms as high as you can.
  3. Hold this position for about 25-40 seconds.
  4. Relax for 5-10 seconds and repeat.
Exercise B
  1. Interlock your fingers, extending your arms straight out in front of you at shoulder height. Palms should face outward.
  2. Stretch from the waist and slowly raise your arms over your head. Try to keep your elbows straight.
  3. Hold this position for 25-45 seconds, pause for 5-10 seconds, then repeat.

Note: All stretches should be performed slowly. Be sure to consult your doctor before trying any of these exercises.
